We were delighted to welcome Gary from Warrington Youth Zone to our school for a fantastic and inspiring visit.

Gary began the session by speaking to the children about the wide range of activities available at Warrington Youth Zone. From sports and arts to social clubs and enrichment opportunities, the children were excited to learn about the many ways they can get involved outside of school and develop new skills, make friends, and build confidence.

Following this, Gary worked closely with a group of our Year 5 Play Leaders. He led an engaging and energetic workshop, teaching them a variety of fun and inclusive playground games. The Play Leaders showed great enthusiasm, quickly picking up new ideas and developing their leadership skills.

Later in the day, Gary stayed to support the Play Leaders as they put their training into action. At lunchtime, they organised and led games for pupils across the whole school. It was wonderful to see so many children actively involved, enjoying the activities and playing together. The playground was full of energy, laughter, and teamwork.

We are very grateful to Gary and Warrington Youth Zone for such a valuable and enjoyable experience. The visit has not only inspired our pupils but also strengthened our Play Leader programme, giving children new ideas and confidence to lead others.

The children had a brilliant time, and we look forward to building on this experience in the future!
