With all the concerns over the coronavirus outbreak and how this might impact schools and your child’s learning, we wanted to offer you some ideas to help you continue their education during any potential school closures.
We also appreciate that keeping children engaged in their learning whilst at home is not going to be easy and so we have provided links to a range of content for your child that can be completed independently or with adult support.
For independent learning and games, we recommend using Classroom Secrets Kids. Packed with fun and engaging content, this online learning platform will guarantee to keep your child learning independently. Parents will need to register and create a free account for each child in the household before accessing these resources. Registration is easy and explained clearly on the site.
In the event of a school closure, staff will update this page with daily activities to complete. If this page is not updated, please refer to the class packs above.

Transition to Year 6
Well that's it, the end of Year 5 has arrived. We are all so upset that we didn't have chance to see you all before the end of the year. None of us imagined that the school closures would last this long. However, you have such an exciting time ahead in Year 6. The daily online activities have stopped now, and below are lots of activities for you to have a go at either this week, or throughout the summer. If you have any questions, do get in touch and we will happily answer them for you. Have a wonderful summer holiday, and we hope to see you in September!
Lots of love,
Mrs Kingsbury, Mrs Boyce, Mr Stratford and Mrs Myers
We Miss You!
Believe it or not, we are all missing you.
We miss your faces, your chatter and your laughs. But most of all, we miss seeing your work! Please email us pictures of anything you have done, or stories you have written, anything you are proud of. We will post them onto our class page so we can all see what you have been up to. Send us pictures of yourselves too - although make sure you have permission from your parents first.
We can't wait to start receiving things!
Mrs Kingsbury, Mrs Boyce and Mr Stratford

So now you know who your teacher will be in September. One of the sad things about school closure is that your new teachers don’t get chance to say hello! They would love to get to know you. Mr Quinn sent a letter earlier in the week asking you to email your new teachers to tell them about yourselves (what you like doing, favourite subjects, family, football team they support etc.). This could be done through email or a short video. Take some time over the next two days to do this – Mr Moore and Ms Tipping would love to hear all about you!
