Year 1

In science we have started looking at different materials. Today we looked at wood, metal and plastic. Some of us went on a hunt around the school to find some objects made out of these three materials. Some of us sorted out pictures and objects into three different categories. We look forward to learning about other materials next week!

  • Alien video In class we have watched the video called Invasions and it has given us some ideas for writing our own stories about an alien crashing on earth.
We have been busy thinking of questions that we would like to ask the alien if we saw it. We have also been thinking of ideas of what happened when the alien crashed on our school field!

Welcome to Year 1

 

A great big hello to all the children in Year 1 from Mrs Clyne and Miss Hamilton.  

 

We are very pleased with how well the children have settled into their new classes.  Our classes are beginning to look amazing since the construction work, which was undertaken, over the summer holidays.

 

Please be patient with us whilst we customize the space and make them look even better.
