Hi there Somnologists,

 

We are about to continue our investigation of how diet, exercise, drugs, alcohol and lifestyle affect our bodily functions.  Today, we are going to focus on a particular aspect of lifestyle - sleep!

Check your work from yesterday (last week - if you have not been back here since then) and adjust for any missed points of detail.

 

Just a quick note - remember how we talked about your English skills needing to be fully on display in your Science, History, RE, PSHE work etc?  Well, I did notice yesterday that some of you were not paying attention to this.  Your work MUST ALWAYS be at the standard of a good Year 6 learner-or at least show evidence of you really trying your best.  I trust I don't need to say anymore!

Good afternoon, budding scientists.  

 

Today, we are continuing our initial work on how diet, exercise, drugs and lifestyle impact on our bodily functions.  

 

IN THIS LESSON, WE WILL PRIMARILY BE THINKING IN 'GENERAL' TERMS.  INDIVIDUAL CHILDREN'S DIETS WOULD ALWAYS NEED TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THEIR OWN PARTICULAR FOOD INTOLERANCES, AND ANY OTHER KNOWN RESTRICTIONS.

Have your workbook ready, and follow the questions as you watch the video.  I suggest you watch the video through once in full, then again with your workbook, pausing in the appropriate places to capture your answers.

Either print off the workbook, and complete, OR, if this is not possible, open up the workbook, and answer the questions in your own exercise book.
