Play Buddies

Monday 3rd February - Friday 7th February

This week, the Play Buddies have been working very hard to make sure all of the KS1 children have an enjoyable playtime.

We have been playing games that the younger pupils love to play, such as:

  • What time is it Mr Wolf?
  • Granny's footsteps and,
  • Duck, duck, goose.

Our Buddies have made a difference by encouraging the children to play with others.

Congratulations to Olivia who is this week's Star Play Buddy.  Olivia was chosen because she is extremely hardworking and committed and she always helps out at the last minute if we need an extra buddy!

Our Play Buddies consist of 25, sensible and hardworking, boys and girls from Year 6 who help to run organised games at lunchtimes for KS1 children.

The aim of our Play Buddies is make lunchtime as fun as possible by providing as much activity as possible. They support our Midday Assistants in controlling behaviour and encouraging our younger children to play well and play lots.

The Play Buddies are headed by Georgia, Ruby and Gracie who fulfill the roles of Head Play Buddy, Deputy Head and Secretary respectively.

Our Play Buddies are rewarded each week in our celebration assembly with the 'STAR PLAY BUDDY' award.
