See if you can spot the different ways people are expressing themselves in this video...

Made with Pond5: Express Yourself

Express yourself and live through your imagination!

Finding creative, enjoyable ways to share our thoughts, feelings and ideas can make us feel good and help our mental health, especially when we face tough situations or difficult times.

We are all different and will find creative ways to express ourselves.

Finding healthy ways to express ourselves can make us feel good, happy, relaxed, excited and connected to others.

Take a look at these clips that show expression through music, dance and art.

Class Notes: A Journey Through Musical Emotion (Music & Meaning Part I)

Sesame Street: Alvin Ailey Dance -- Emotions

Elmo and dancers from the Alvin Ailey Theater communicate feelings through dance.

Draw Your Feelings - Children's Mental Health Week 2021

There are so many ways that we can express ourselves through creativity.  It's also important to help others (like friends and family) to express themselves too.

What ways can you think of?

Here are a few ideas:

  • photography
  • baking
  • gardening
  • model making
  • writing stories
  • mindful colouring
  • reading

Creativity goes on

We have always believed deeply in the power of creativity. Now, more than ever, we're inspired by people in every corner of the world finding new ways to share thoughts and feelings by expressing themselves creatively.
